Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Illinois
I am most drawn to supporting tweens and teens 12 years and older, as well as young adults as they process emotional challenges and identity development. My background in college access makes me a strong match for any young person trying to figure out their next step and navigate early adulthood. Additionally, I am deeply committed to supporting BIPOC individuals. As a Black cisgender woman, I know firsthand how transformative it is to work with a therapist who truly “sees” you—a space where you can bring your full, authentic self into every session. I also proudly welcome clients from the LGBTQIA+ community.
My expertise is rooted in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. However, at the core of my practice, I am a strong believer in the power of the client-therapist relationship. To me, the connection we build together is what drives real healing, especially when working through trauma.
As you’re thinking of starting or returning to therapy, you might be a little nervous about the idea of opening up to a stranger. I’m here to tell you that you are in the right place; my job is to help you feel safe, comfortable and supported as you begin your therapy journey. Reach out whenever you’re ready, and we’ll begin this journey side by side.
