Elgin’s Nightmare on Chicago Street Event
Details & Potential Impact on Rally Point Sessions
‘Nightmare on Chicago Street’ is an annual, city-backed Halloween event that transforms downtown Elgin into a themed festival in late October.
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and will include significant road closures, crowds, and setup activity around our office area - both ahead of and during the event itself.
If you’ve got a session scheduled during this time, there are a few potential impacts you should be aware of.
Potential Impact on Sessions
Generally speaking, the biggest impacts on sessions at Rally Point are parking restrictions and the presence of themed props on downtown streets ahead of the event. Clients should be aware that parking lot closures downtown begin the week before the event (the 20th) and last until after the event is over and decorations have been cleaned up.
Parking Lot Closures
Several parking lots near our office will be temporarily closed in the days leading up to the event.
All lots directly adjacent to Rally Point will be closed (see map).
Our office remains fully open during this time.
The Spring Street Parking Deck (located just across the street) is open and available for client use.
Street parking east of Spring Street is also available but may be limited as the event approaches.
We recommend allowing extra time for parking and arriving early to your appointment if you’re scheduled during this weekend.
