Recording Guide

FOR Desktop DEVICES

Thanks so much for agreeing to join us on the Rally Point Podcast!

Below are a few details to help you prepare. If you have any questions - just let us know!

General Details 📋

Live Recording

We're going to try to record in one "take" so our episode is easy to edit - but we are able to cut things out before we publish, so don't worry about saying the wrong thing too much.

Virtual Studio

We record using a virtual studio that works like a normal video call. At the end of recording - your audio will automatically be sent to us, so you don’t have to worry about files.

Audio-Only

Our virtual studio includes video some can see each other, but we’re only recording audio - so feel free to join us wearing your favorite pair of sweatpants or punk-rock hoodie.

Things You’ll Need 🎛️

Quiet Interruption-Free Space

This is probably the most essential thing you need for recording to go smoothly. Try to eliminate background noise like loud fans, your co-worker’s music, or the load of laundry you just started.

Chrome or Edge Installed

We record using a virtual studio that only works in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. At the end of recording - your audio will automatically be sent to us.

Headphones or AirPods

Any kind of plug-in headphones work the best - but AirPods are alright too. We’ll test your audio before we start recording to make sure everything sounds alright.
